Catheter and catheter system

The catheter has an elongated and axially rigid catheter body including a distal end and a proximal end respective to an operating position. A transducer unit (G) of a converter device for converting displacement of a movable and deformable protection element into non-mechanical quantity is provided on the element. A stationary pick-up unit (S) of the converter device is provided on the catheter body, and a measuring connector is provided on the proximal end, where the catheter body comprises a lead for transmitting a measurement signal generated by the converter device to the proximal end.
