The ring holder (10) has a flat gripping section (12) to which a contact surface is arranged perpendicularly. The flat gripping section is arranged for gripping outer side of a ring (30) such that ring is immobilize relative to contact surface by using strip-like holding units (32a,32b,34a,34b). A fixation element (16) is arranged at a distance from the contact surface. An independent claim is included for method for connecting ring with ring holder.
