<p>A vehicle is illuminated by application of phosphorescent paint to the vehicle. A phosphorescent additive such as strontium aluminate is added to automotive paint rendering the paint luminescent when charged with exposure to daylight. The phosphorescent painted vehicle will subtly and delicately glow. Also disclosed is use of an electroluminescent film, sheet or panel on the vehicle or part of the vehicle. The phosphorescent paint or electroluminescent film, sheet or panel can be used in the formation of a design or image on the vehicle for marketing, branding, personalization safety marking as well as to highlight vehicle access points.</p> |
