<p>A power convertor casing is covered with an elastomeric coating which electrically insulates the casing. The elastomeric material may comprise a 1:1 mixture of polyurea and polyurethane which is applied by spray coating. The coating provides a waterproof weather resistant insulating casing which can be used to house a transformer in an outdoor environment. The coating can completely insulate a metallic casing so that no earth connection for the casing needs to be provided.</p> |
