<p>PURPOSE: A method for controlling remote area monitoring using a smartphone and a software device thereof are provided for a user to recognize the operating state of facilities and implement a bidirectional sensing control function with a mobile terminal at a site by connecting the mobile terminal to the remote control device of the facilities with a smartphone application program. CONSTITUTION: A device monitoring control application mounted at a mobile terminal(130) is driven. Remote terminal devices(110~112) control the operation of at least one facility(120~124). A remote terminal device is searched. A processing screen related to the searched remote terminal device is displayed. The number of a control panel is obtained. The obtained number of the control panel is transmitted to the searched remote terminal. State information indicating the operation state of the facility is received from the remote terminal device. The received state information is displayed.
