An actively shuttered glasses synchronization signal generated by a 3D TV is detected by a device that has an output display. A periodicity of actuation of the actively shuttered glasses synchronization signal is determined. A display refresh rate of the output display is synchronized to the periodicity of actuation of the actively shuttered glasses synchronization signal.
