PURPOSE: A synthesizing method of a metal nanoparticle is provided to synthesize metal nanoparticles of various sizes by controlling the nuclei size of gold by controlling solvent and reaction temperature and using a specific gold precursor and reducing agent under the presence of a thiol ligand. CONSTITUTION: A synthesizing method of a metal nanoparticle comprises a step of mixing triphenylphosphine gold(I) (Au(PPh3)Cl) chloride and alkanethiol(CnSH) into a solvent; a step of adding t-butylamine borane(TBAB) into the solution mixture to form a gold nuclei; and a step of stirring the solution mixture to grow the gold nuclei and forming gold nanoparticle. The solvent is benzene, chloroform, or a mixed solvent of the benzene and chloroform. The mixing ratio of the triphenylphosphine gold(I) (Au(PPh3)Cl) chloride and alkanethiol(CnSH) is 1:1-4.
