PURPOSE: A data recovery circuit and an adaptive equalization coefficient controlling method is provided to efficiently remove ISI(Inter Symbol Interference) by using oversampling and an equalizer. CONSTITUTION: An oversampling receiver(10) receives a receiver input signal(RE_S) and a DFE control signal(CON_A) for outputting first through nth pre-recovery signals(PR_D(1:n)). The DFE control signal controls an equalization coefficient for outputting optimal recovered data(REC_D). The data recovery part(20) receives first through nth clock signals(CLK(1:n)) for outputting a minimum data transition signal(OUT_CL) and a maximum data transition signal(OUT_CH). A DFE control part(30) receives the minimum data transition signal and the maximum data transition signal for outputting a DFE control signal.
