PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of a polyethylene isophthalate is provided to simplify a process and to obtain a polyethylene isophthalate with a high molecular weight. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a polyethylene isophthalate comprises an esterification step using isophthalic acid and ethylene glycol mixture; and condensation polymerization step by adding a catalyst to the result. The catalyst is mixed of antimony acetate and a compound indicated in chemical formula 1. In chemical formula 1, R1 and R2 can be the same or different from each other. Each of R1 and R2 includes O or N and is a C3-20 cycloalkyl group.
