An IPS-mode LCD and a driving method thereof are provided to perform falling quickly for the input of next image data after the response of liquid crystal in response to the input of image data to enable a liquid crystal panel to display an image accurately. An IPS(In-Plane Switching)-mode LCD(Liquid Crystal Display) includes a liquid crystal pixel for display(PA) having a PE(Pixel Electrode) and a CE(Common Electrode), a liquid crystal pixel for display with a first electrode and a second electrode insulated from the PE and the CE, and a liquid crystal pixel for non-display(PN) having a PE connected to the first electrode. The first electrode and the second electrode are extended and formed in a direction where the PE and the CE are crossed all. |
