<p>The invention relates to pantograph-type current collector to be employed in tramways and locomotives or electrical trains, for collecting power from an electric contact line placed along the railway or urban roadway. The pantograph-type current collector is provided, beside the mechanical spring which develops a lifting force and a force for pressing the contact shoe against the contact wire, with a supplementary assembly comprising a double inductor () of a linear induction motor in the air gap of which a plate-type armature () can move, supported and guided by a series of rollers (), said armature () acting, by means of an insulator (), upon a rod () which transmits the effort developed by the armature () to an axle-rod () integral with a lower arm () of the pantograph, providing it with a supplementary mechanical effort which is to be added, in both senses, to the mechanical effort achieved by a mechanical spring in order to adapt the resulting effort intended to push the pantograph shoe, for this purpose, the inductors () of the linear induction motor being supplied from a voltage- and frequency-controlled converter which is controlled by means of a transducer () monitoring the electric contact pressure and the working height of the pantograph shoe.</p> |
