PURPOSE: A semiconductor integrated circuit and a driving method thereof are provided to improve the operation performance of the semiconductor integrated circuit by optimizing a tracking speed regardless of an operating frequency or a PVT(Process, Voltage, and Temperature) property. CONSTITUTION: A delayed locked loop(220) generates a delay locked clock by delaying a source clock with the first delay time for a delay lock and controls an update cycle in response to an update cycle control signal after the delay lock is completed. An update cycle control unit(240) generates the update cycle control signal based on the second delay time generated in a loop path of the delay locked loop in response to the source clock and a plurality of control signals provided from the delay locked loop.
