PURPOSE: An apparatus and a method for measuring wind direction and wind speed are provided to compensate a change of ultrasonic wave velocity and to reduce power consumption. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for measuring wind direction and wind speed comprises: a transmitting sensor, a plurality of receiving sensors, and an outputting module. A method for measuring wind direction and wind speed comprises: a step of periodically transmitting ultrasonic waves by the transmitting sensor(S110); a step of receiving the ultrasonic waves from the transmitting sensor(S120); and a step of calculating the wind direction and wind speed(S150).
