<p>PURPOSE: A brake device is provided to control a gap between a brake object and a brake shoe when an initial position of the brake shoe moves to a brake side of a braking direction. CONSTITUTION: A brake device comprises a gap controlling device. The gap controlling device comprises a control unit(41) and an operation member(42). The control unit comprises a control surface facing an opposite side to a braking direction. The operation member is installed to move with a moving member in the braking direction. The operation member relatively moves the moving member to the opposite side to the braking direction. A position control unit comprises a sleeve, a latch gear, and a control unit. The position control unit moves to a brake of the braking direction over predetermined movement amount. The position control unit changes an initial position of the moving member according to relative movement amount of the operation member.</p> |
