PURPOSE: A method for generating a hologram at a high speed and a device thereof are provided to generate a 3D hologram at a high speed by reducing calculation during the generation of a hologram pattern by using sub sampling. CONSTITUTION: A hologram generating device generates a point hologram by the sub-sampling of pixels included in an SLM(Spatial Light Modulator)(201). The device generates a hologram pattern by using the point hologram(202). The device interpolates the hologram pattern(203). The device a 3D hologram by using an interpolated hologram(204).
