PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of a terephthalic acid-derived ester is provided to use a terephthalic acid to control reaction rate of an esterification, thereby controlling ester compound capable of applying a plasticizer to a polymer resin. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a terephthalic acid-derived ester comprises a step of dry pulverization treatment. Total surface area of a terephthalic acid particle obtained by dry pulverizing treatment is 0.37-0.47 m^2/g and the average particle diameter is 19-41 micron. A manufacturing method of the terephthalic acid-derived ester comprises a step of esterification of an alcohol and terephthalic acid with controlled total surface area and average particle diameter under the presence of an esterification reaction catalyst; and a step of removing unreacted alcohols in the reactant and filtering the result to manufacture the ester.
