PURPOSE: An NaS battery is provided to release impact due to thermal expansion when welding an elastic insulating ring and a case and to block heat transfer, thereby preventing the fracture of the insulating ring or solid electrolyte pipe. CONSTITUTION: An NaS battery comprises a solid electrolyte pipe which allows sodium ions to pass through the pipe, has pores to accommodate the sodium, and has one open end; an insulating ring(120) between the sodium electrode and sulfur electrode; a case(130) with an one open end and has an hollow part to accommodate the solid electrolyte pipe and sulfur; an elastic adiabatic ring(140) which can blocks heat transfer between the one end and the insulating ring and has elasticity; and a closing cover(150) which closes the open end of the solid electrolyte pipe.
