PURPOSE: An automatic bubble detecting device and a method thereof are provided to analyze video segments and to identify the existence of bubbles in acidity test solution. CONSTITUTION: An automatic bubble detecting device(5) comprises a horizontal support surface, a transparent tube, a camera(12), and a controller(10). The horizontal support surface supports a test coupon(14) including a coating with corrosion resistance to be evaluated. The transparent tube includes acidity test solution arranged on the test coupon. The camera is arranged in order to record video segments of the acidity test solution. The controller communicates with the camera, records the video segments within a time interval by operating the camera, and analyzes the recorded images for confirming the existence of bubbles included in the acidity test solution.
