A bumper absorber (9) has a squared C-shaped cross-section consisting of: a vertical surface (11) which extends in the vertical direction and along the vehicle width direction; and an upper surface (12) and a lower surface (13) which extend rearward from the upper and lower ends of the vertical surface (11). The bumper absorber (9) is configured in such a manner that the upper surface (12) and the lower surface (13) are supported by a bumper reinforcement (10) through mounting members (23-27). The pitch of the mounting members adjacent to each other in the vehicle width direction is set so as to decrease from each end (9b) of the bumper absorber (9) in the vehicle width direction toward the center (9a) thereof in the vehicle width direction.
