The system has a generation device (3) for generating graphic data representing a moving map of an airport viewed from top and a current position of an aircraft on the map. A description database (5) describes characteristics of a cockpit of the aircraft. Another generation device (7) generates another graphic data based on the cockpit characteristics. The latter data represents a visibility zone from the cockpit, using a mask. A superposition unit (8) overlaps the latter data on the former data, and is connected to a display device (4). The characteristics of the cockpit are related to form cockpit and/or height of the cockpit and/or shape of port-holes, and one of the graphic data comprises information on surrounding traffic exits of a alarm system, information on surrounding traffic exits of a head-up display, and information on visibility conditions such as fog.
