<p>The invention relates to a device including a housing (1), which is attachable to the door of the vehicle, and an elongate cam (2) which is connectable to the body of the vehicle via a clevis (4) or other joint. The cam (2) engages with two rollers applied on either side of said cam, i.e. a first stationary roller (8), the pin (9) of which is directly connected to the housing (1), and a mobile spring-biased roller (12). Said device ensures that the door is kept in intermediate and final positions by means of the engagement of the rollers (8) with recesses (7) or notches of the cam (2). The cam is free of any abutment on the end (13) thereof that is spaced apart from the joint thereof, the stopping function being provided by the hinges of the door.</p> |
