Ophthalmic formulation that comprises an anti-infectious agent such as gentamycin sulphate and an anti-inflammatory agent such as prednisolone in pharmaceutically acceptable ratios, with a pH suitable for minimising secondary effects and reducing the frequency of ocular discomfort such as itching and burns in the eyes. The solution provides a lubricating effect and a high effectiveness in the removal of germs such as bacterial conjunctivitis.
