The device (10) has a cooling unit (16) comprising a cooling circuit (18) in which heat transfer fluid i.e. dielectric oil, is circulated. A heat exchanger (20) is provided with a power module (14), where the fluid is passed from the cooling circuit through the exchanger. A drive pump (24) i.e. displacement pump, drives the fluid circulated in the cooling circuit. A sealed enclosure (12) includes a reception area (26) for receiving the fluid. The cooling circuit includes an inlet orifice (28) arranged in upstream of the drive pump, where the orifice is opened into the fluid in the area.
