The device has an upper part (1), a lower part (2) and a lateral door (3) cooperating with each other in a utilization mode during which ends of a water heater are protected and another utilization mode during which the water heater is supported. The lateral door has conformation complementary to the upper and lower parts so as to form a closed volume. The lower part has an internal cavity (4) cooperating with a bent tube (5) i.e. bent plastic or metal tube. The lower part and the upper part are made of expanded polypropylene.
