PURPOSE: A codebook generating method for a multi-polarized MIMO(Multiple Input Multiple Output) system and a device thereof are provided to effectively offer a codebook by reconfiguring a pre-coding matrix according to a transmission ranking. CONSTITUTION: One pre-coding matrix is selected from one or more stored matrixes(S230). A data stream for being transmitted by using the pre-coding matrix is coded in advance(S240,S250,S260). Diagonal blocks in a plurality of blocks included in the one or more matrixes include matrixes except for zero matrixes. The other blocks except for the diagonal blocks include the zero matrixes.
