<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a primer composition for optical articles, which can form, on an optical substrate, a primer coat layer that has excellent surface appearance and tight adhesion and that can improve the scratch resistance and impact resistance of the optical substrate and which itself exhibits excellent storage stability, the primer composition being useful both in the formation of a primer coat layer for a hard coat layer and in the formation of a primer coat layer for a photochromic coat layer. <P>SOLUTION: The primer composition comprises (A) a urethane resin that has a skeleton derived from a polycarbonate and exhibits a specific elongation, (B) an organic solvent that has two or more hydroxyl groups in the molecule and contains 2 to 7 carbon atoms, and (C) water, and has a content of the component (B) of 5 to 100 pts.mass, a content of the component (C) of 150 to 550 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass of the component (A), and a (B)/(C) mass ratio of 0.01 to 0.20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
