<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a restoration capability to a conveyance failure of a storage medium. <P>SOLUTION: A library device includes: a storage shelf for storing a plurality of storage media; a recording and reproduction device for writing data in a storage medium and reading data from the storage medium; a first conveyance device 1 having an insertion and removing mechanism 1a for inserting and removing a storage medium into/from the storage shelf or the recording and reproduction device, a drive part 1b for feeding driving force to the insertion and removing mechanism 1a, and a connection part 1c for transferring driving force different from the driving force by the drive part 1b to the insertion and removing mechanism 1a; and a second conveyance device 2 having a connection part 2a for transferring driving force to the connection part 1c in connection to the connection part 1c, and a drive part 2b for feeding driving force to the connection part 2a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
