<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To exactly turn a gesture recognition function ON/OFF even when a user does not perform a special operation except a gesture. <P>SOLUTION: A gesture recognition device executes the following control by a single brushstroke gesture recognition function ON/OFF switching part 310A. Namely, when a gesture starting area is set in a recognition area of a gesture, and a drawing point of a light emission marker enters the gesture starting area at a state that a single brushstroke gesture recognition function is OFF, a function of a single brushstroke gesture recognition processing part 320 is set to ON, and a detection zone for detecting the end point of the gesture is set in the gesture recognition area.
