<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To update data for musical piece search of a karaoke remote controller by an updating file in a new file format without modifying a program on the karaoke device side. <P>SOLUTION: A karaoke remote controller executes: reception processing which is limited so as to be able to receive files in a prescribed file format and is for receiving an updating file in the prescribed format from a karaoke device associated with the karaoke remote controller by communication with the karaoke device; first updating processing of expanding the received updating file and, if the expanded updating file is in a file format for updating data for musical piece search, directly updating the data for musical piece search; and second updating processing of, if the expanded updating file is in a prescribed text format, executing SQL on the basis of contents of the file in the text format to update the data for musical piece search. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
