This motor control device is equipped with: a coordinate conversion unit (6) for converting a primary current flowing in a motor (1) into a torque current value and an excitation current value; a magnetic flux estimation unit (8) for obtaining an estimated magnetic flux value (PhiS) on the basis of the excitation current value (idFB); a magnetic flux controller (13) for calculating an excitation current command (idcom) on the basis of a magnetic flux deviation; an excitation current limiter (23) for limiting the output value of the excitation current command (idcom) to be output by the magnetic flux controller (13); an excitation current controller (10) for generating an excitation voltage command (Vdcom) for controlling a switching component of an inverter circuit (3) on the basis of an excitation current deviation generated according to the output of the excitation current limiter (23) and the excitation current value (idFB); and a control parameter change value calculation unit (16) that is configured to be able to generate a maximum allowable current value (idmax) for changing the output limit value of the excitation current command (idcom) output by the excitation current controller (10), and a pass-band constant (w) for determining a gain size of magnetic flux controller (13).
