The proposed invention relates to the procedure and the device for the horizontal static equilibrium balancing of a rotating object with a hole in its center. The invention is characterized by a base that supports a rod (5) that is equipped with an upper pivot seat (4) consisting of or including a malleable material, that when the rod has been adjusted to be plumb, a rotating body can be mounted onto and be secured in its center by the use of a socket style centering device (1) with the aid of separate support adaptors (2) that accommodate different hole sizes in the aforementioned rotating body where a centered pivot journal (A) that is a feature of the centering device (1) make up the pivot point (3) together with the pivot seat (4) on the rod (5) when the centering device (1) has been mounted onto the rod (5) and is resting on the seat (4) the centering device (1) with the rotating object and rod (5), which are independently adjustable without the inclusion of friction, are statically balanced in the horizontal axis by the placement of weights onto the perimeter of the rotating object to accomplish a horizontal static equilibrium.
