<p>A system for supporting a window covering (16) is provided. The system includes: a bracket assembly (12, 14) having a stationary portion (22) and a pivoting portion (38); a valance (18) pivotally connected to the bracket assembly (12, 14); a first lock (56) configured to lock the valance (18) to the pivoting portion (38) of the bracket assembly (12, 14); and a second lock (64) that, when engaged, locks the valance (18) to the stationary portion (22) of the bracket assembly (12, 14). A method of concealing a window covering (16) may also be provided. The method may include: providing a bracket assembly (12, 14) configured to support the window covering (16); providing a valance (18) attached to the bracket assembly (12, 14); pivoting the valance (18) on the bracket assembly (12, 14) to selectively expose and conceal the window covering (16); locking the valance (18) to a pivoting portion (38) of the bracket assembly (12, 14); and locking the valance (18) to a stationary portion (22) of the bracket assembly (12, 14).</p> |
