PURPOSE: A manufacturing method of a can for a cylindrical-type battery and the can for the cylindrical-type battery are provided to minimize the size of a burr and to improve the safety of the battery by preventing the generation of foreign materials. CONSTITUTION: A manufacturing method of a can for a cylindrical-type battery comprises the following steps: forming a main body including a cylindrical main body unit and a trimming unit using a steel plate; forming a stepped unit on the edge of the trimming unit and the cylindrical main body unit; and cutting the stepped unit. The stepped unit is formed on the inner wall of the cylindrical main body unit. |
