<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel battery which accurately measures an amount of back diffusion water accumulated in the fuel battery regardless of forms of power generation cells. <P>SOLUTION: A fuel battery includes: a power generation part including a fuel electrode to which a fuel is supplied; an oxidant electrode to which an oxidant is supplied; and a solid polymer electrolyte membrane held by the fuel electrode and the oxidant electrode; a fuel source accumulating the fuel; supply means included between the fuel electrode and the fuel source and supplying the fuel to the fuel electrode; a control part which controls the supply means, the control part controls the communication between a fuel electrode space on the fuel electrode side with the exterior of the fuel electrode space and shields the fuel electrode space from the exterior to form a closed space when the supply of the fuel is stopped; pressure detection means measuring the internal pressure of the closed space; and a calculation part which calculates an amount of liquid water accumulated in the closed space from the changing amount of the internal pressure which is measured by the pressure detection means and the volume of the closed space. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
