摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem in a method of disposing an organic EL layer by patterning it one color at a time by photolithography, that the lower electrode surface of an organic EL layer for the third color is exposed to etching gas twice in etching processes in which previously formed organic EL layers for two other colors are removed, resulting in a reduction in the cleanliness and smoothness of the electrode surface and hence a reduction in luminous efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: There is provided a manufacturing method for a light-emitting device having formed therein a plurality of lower electrodes, a first, a second and a third organic layer respectively formed on different lower electrodes and emitting light in different colors, and upper electrodes opposed to the lower electrodes across the first, the second or the third organic layer, on a substrate. In the manufacturing method, a first organic layer is formed on the plurality of lower electrodes at first, and then, after the first organic layer on part of the lower electrodes is removed by etching, a new organic layer is formed on the exposed lower electrodes, which process is repeated for the second and the third organic layers. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
