<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power storage element including an insulating member which can be mounted thereon in an easy way. <P>SOLUTION: A battery 10 of the present invention is characterized by including: a power storage element 11 formed by laminating a positive electrode plate 12 and a negative electrode plate 13 through a separator; a case 20 housing a power generation element 11; an annular insulating member 33 made of an insulating material and mounted along an outer peripheral of either electrode plate end of the positive electrode plate 12 and the negative electrode plate 13.
