<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding spatter adhesion inhibitor that can effectively utilize, a product of nature, Shirasu (deposits of volcanic ash and pyroclastic material) and the like, is inexpensive but not harmful to the environment, eliminates the need of drying processes, causes no welding failure even if welding is performed immediately after application thereof and can effectively prevent adhesion of spatter to a base material, and to provide a method for preventing adhesion of welding spatter using the same. <P>SOLUTION: The welding spatter adhesion inhibitor is prepared by mixing particulates of a holohyaline pyroclastic material and water. In welding a welding target member, the welding spatter adhesion inhibitor prepared by mixing particulates of the holohyaline pyroclastic material and water is preliminarily applied with a brush or sprayed by a spraying means to a welding part and the vicinity thereof, and welding is then performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
