DRIVE UNIT, CAMERA MODULE, ELECTRONIC INSTRUMENT, AND MANUFACTURING METHOD FOR DRIVE UNIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive unit that precisely controls the inclination of a lens holding member when the lens holding member is fitted into a housing, thereby making it possible to control the inclination of the lens precisely, a camera module using this drive unit, an electronic instrument, and a manufacturing method for a drive unit.

SOLUTION: A barrel holder 31 holding a lens therein is provided in the housing 20 so as to be movable in the direction of the optical axis of the lens. A piezoelectric element and a drive shaft that is fixed to this piezoelectric element and receives the vibration of the piezoelectric element are fixed to the barrel holder 31 such that the lengthwise direction of the drive shaft extends along the direction of the optical axis of the lens. A shaft holding part holding the drive shaft such that the drive shaft is able to slide is provided in the housing 20. The barrel holder 31 is provided with a reflecting surface 39 that reflects a laser beam from an automatic collimator.
