<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a steering device that has a vehicle body mounting bracket that reduces the production cost by forming one sheet of plate material by bending. <P>SOLUTION: In the bent and shaped state, the plate thickness T2 of a connection upper plate 32 is formed thicker than the plate thickness T1 of a left upper plate 31L, a left side plate 33L, a right upper plate 31R, and a right side plate 33R. The plate thickness T1 of the left upper plate 31L, the left side plate 33L, the right upper plate 31R, and the right side plate 33R is almost the same as the plate thickness of the plate material.
