<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a treatment container capable of storing a large quantity of radioactive waste in large quantities, simply and inexpensively by a general concrete manufacturing technique without requiring specific materials and techniques. <P>SOLUTION: Radioactive waste is accommodated and stored in a hermetic storage composed of heavy concrete with specific gravity of 2.6 to 4.0. The hermetic storage container is a container composed of a movable type heavy concrete lid body and a bottomed cylindrical container body which are allowed to be conveyed in a state loaded on a vehicle or a container obtained by connecting and assembling precast units in a site. The heavy concrete is manufactured by adopting one or more materials selected as aggregates, for example, from iron oxide-based iron ore, barite, slag with high specific gravity, and basalt. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
