AQUEOUS COMPOSITION FOR SECONDARY BATTERY ELECTRODES, AND ELECTRODE FOR SECONDARY BATTERY POSITIVE ELECTRODES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrode which achieves a good binding strength and good charge-discharge cycle characteristics, and allows the suppression of peeling of an electrode sheet in its manufacturing process mainly in the field of secondary batteries.

SOLUTION: The aqueous composition for secondary battery electrodes comprises: a polymer water-dispersion material (I); a water-soluble polymer (II); and a lithium-containing complex oxide (III) capable of occluding and releasing lithium ions. The solid weight ratio (A) of the polymer water-dispersion material (I) to the water-soluble polymer (II) meets the inequality (1) below. The total solid parts (B) by weight of the polymer water-dispersion material (I) and the water-soluble polymer (II) to 100 parts by weight of the lithium-containing complex oxide (III) meets the inequality (2) below. The inequality (1) is 0<(A)<3.0; the inequality (2) is 0.7<(B)<3.2.
