<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress skew of a fixing belt based on a temperature difference occurring between both end parts in an axial direction of a roller incorporating a heat source. <P>SOLUTION: In a belt type fixing device, a first belt skew stopping member 79A and a second belt skew stopping member 79B are fixed to a first end part and a second end part in an axial direction of a heat roller 72, and a first edge and a second edge in a breadthwise direction of a fixing belt 73 are brought into contact with the first belt skew stopping member 79A and the second belt skew stopping member 79B respectively. A heat roller temperature detection unit 220 detects respective temperatures of the first end part and the second end part of the heat roller 72. A first air-cooling fan 210A and a second air-cooling fan 210B individually adjust the temperatures of the first edge and the second edge in the breadthwise direction of the fixing belt 73. A CPU is configured to control operations of the first air-cooling fan 210A and the second air-cooling fan 210B on the basis of the detection result of the heat roller temperature detection unit 220. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
