摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle control device that determines whether an engine should be stopped and restarted from a charging status of a battery when a vehicle is in deceleration and fuel supply is stopped, and executes the stop and restart, and also acquires an engine stoppable time from the charging status of the battery and can stop the engine in accordance with the charging status of the battery. <P>SOLUTION: The vehicle control device having an engine stop/start device comprises: the battery; a vehicle speed detection means; a battery current detection means; a battery temperature detection means; a deceleration state detection means; a fuel supply stop means; an average charging current calculation means; and an SOC estimation means. An average value of a battery current within a prescribed time after it is detected that the fuel supply to the engine is stopped while the vehicle is in a deceleration state is acquired by the average charging current calculation means, and when an SOC acquired by the SOC estimation means is larger than a prescribed value, the stop of the engine is permitted. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT
