THERMORESPONSIVE RESIN PARTICLE AND METHOD FOR PRODUCTION THEREOF

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide thermoresponsive resin particles excellent in thermal shaped self-restoring property.

SOLUTION: The diameter-restoring rate of the thermoresponsive resin particle when heating at (the glass transition point of the resin)+30°C for 60 sec after compressing until the diameter of the particle becomes 40-50% of the original is ≥80% based on the diameter before compression. The particle is produced by suspension-polymerizing a liquid mixture comprising: an acrylic liquid polymer; a radical polymerization initiator; and a monomer mixture including at least one selected from (meth)acrylate-based polymerizable monomers and (meth)acrylamide-based polymerizable monomers, and a crosslinking monomer having two or more polymerizable carbon-carbon double bonds in a molecule in a medium in which the liquid mixture does not dissolve.
