<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a contactless power transmission device including a configuration contributing to suppression of a decrease in performance, and a power transmission device and a power reception device thereof. <P>SOLUTION: It is determined that when the relative angle θ3 between the angle θ1 of an opposite surface 11A of a power transmission device 11 and the angle θ2 of an opposite surface 21A of a power reception device 21 is "0" degree, the charging-time attitude of the power reception device 21 is a regular attitude and there is no foreign matter between the power transmission device 11 and power reception device 21. It is determined that when the relative angle θ3 is less than a reference angle θ4, the charging-time attitude is a semi-regular attitude and no foreign matter is present.
