Provided is a method for increasing efficiency of generating an inducted pluripotent stem cell, in which a histone demethylase gene Jhdm1b and/or Jhdm1a and a transcription factor are transcribed into an adult cell of a mammal. The transcription factor is a combination of Oct4 and Klf4, or a combination of Sox2, Oct4 and Klf4, or a combination of Oct4 and Sox2, or single Oct4. The efficiency of inducing pluripotent stem cells and the quality of the induced pluripotent stem cells are increase by use of Jhdm1b, Jhdm1a and the transcription factor. The method further comprises: adding vitamin C to an induced medium, which further increases the efficiency of inducing pluripotent stem cells compared with the case of using no vitamin C. |
