In order to provide a rubber composition and tire using the same, in which silica dispersion properties in the rubber composition are improved, and satisfactory reduction of unvulcanized rubber viscosity and improved pyrogenicity of vulcanized rubber are obtained, this rubber composition is configured by blending 55-200 parts by mass of silica and 0.5-15 parts by mass of at least one type of alkanolamine represented by formula (I) with respect to 100 parts by mass of at least one type of rubber component selected from natural rubber and/or diene-based synthetic rubber. (In formula (1), R1 represents a C1-24 alkyl group or alkenyl group, the alkyl group and alkenyl group may be straight-chain, branched, or cyclic, m and n represent average addition mole numbers, and m and n are numerical values such that m + n = 1-20.) |
