<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control method of a hybrid shovel which improves operability of working elements at initial operation. <P>SOLUTION: A control method of a hybrid shovel switches between an engine speed control command at normal operation and an engine speed control command at initial operation in which an engine speed is higher than that at normal operation on the basis of a lever signal and an engine output state. The engine speed control command at initial operation includes an engine speed corresponding to a lever signal and a tilt rotation angle.
