<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an audio video signal input switchover device and an audio video system, capable of maintaining an AV signal transmission path desired by a user. <P>SOLUTION: The audio video signal input switchover device includes: a plurality of AV signal input units to which AV signals are input; a communication unit for communicating with other AV devices; an input selection unit for selecting one of the plurality of AV signal input units; and a selection control unit for switching selection by the input selection unit according to the content of the switchover request message on receiving a switchover request message requesting the input selection unit to switch over. When an input maintenance mode is set, the selection control unit does not switch selection if a switchover request message is received, and transmits through the communication unit a message to the effect that a switchover according to the message is canceled and a switchover to restore to an original state is performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
