<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To repair belt wrinkles caused by the fact that an intermediate transfer belt is left as it is in such a state that the intermediate transfer belt is nipped by a pair of rollers or the like. <P>SOLUTION: In an intermediate transfer belt 125, a photosensor 50 is oppositely arranged on the downstream side of a primary transfer nip part A formed by a photoreceptor drum 121Bk and a primary transfer roller 126Bk. The photosensor 50 detects the surface condition of the intermediate transfer belt 125. As a result, when it is determined that the surface of the intermediate transfer belt 125 has the belt wrinkles, a belt drive control part 312 moves a part to be nipped on the intermediate transfer belt 125 nipped in the transfer nip part up to a position where the part to be nipped comes into contact with a stretch roller 125A. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT |
